Where it started

V-Guard's Big Idea Challenge 2025 asked for a new product idea with a real business case behind it.

What we looked at

Temperature and humidity for every state, turned into a climate index to decide where the product is needed most; household counts and income bands to size the market; and V-Guard's annual report to estimate the fixed costs a new product would carry.

What we built

A compact kitchen unit that cools with Peltier modules and a fine mist and cleans the air with a grease-and-carbon filter. We costed it component by component (about ₹2,700 per unit in the base case), priced it at ₹6,000, and found break-even at roughly 3,450 units, with an 8-year revenue forecast on top.

What happened

We made the top 21 out of more than 3,000 registrations and pitched on stage.
